Hey,

found this site today, looked at tons of AMAZING work done by people of all different skill levels. I was so amazed I decided to draw my face. I kinda like it, but the only thing I think looks decent is the right eye and the nose..... need to work on my proportions I guess and mabye should draw a layout of a face before I begin. ANyway, any suggestions will be extremely helpful.

PEACE,

Kase

Pupils are too small.. with a cheek/face that big the forehead needs to be bigger.. and/or downsize the eyes a bit and bring in the cheek a bit..

as for the eyes try something like:

those took me maybe few to 5 minutes max but w/ photo references

otherwise i think you have a good start - we have to keep at it! (patience / perfectionism is a bitch)

Kase, as first attempt looks good but I notice you use very stereotypes in your drawing.
Look at this: you have drawn two generic eyes, a generic mouth, generic hairs.
Next time try to draw only shapes. The eyes don't exist. They are formed by shapes, lines, points. You must draw this lines, this shapes. Don't look the paper but look the subject. Don't worry if at the beginning your drawing looks strange. Continue to draw. Remember: those aren't eyes but a knot, a muddle of lines, draw this lines in their exact position and magically the eyes will appear.

A portrait is very hard to draw. First try to draw your hand or a simple cast. ;) Keep it up !!
