yo dude. nice pic overall, i just have some issues:
the rectangular window...if the wall that the window is made of is straight, we shouldnt be able to see the right side of it because of the perspective. course, i dont know what "fixing" it will do to the composition. i think it might help to do a little more with the figure thats all the way in the background, maybe do something with the lighting and shadow so you can really tell that its a person. she doesnt need to be like, detailed and stuff, but maybe bring her out a little more so that you can tell theres someone there. the bird seems kinda small to me too, and its hard to tell its depth in the picture. other than that it seems pretty good, but make sure to double-check and triple-check it, cause its for your mommy. aight dude, g'luck with it; take care.

interms of a degree of finish, i say you should fix the majoir problems which purb discussed and do one of two things: make the backround even lighter or the interieor much darker. with all that exposed sun light flooding in, i think it would be interesting to have eithe the forground underexposed or the backround over exposed (much more). maybe i didnt edit this post well enough but for the sake of clarity ill reiterate if need be.
