I was going to ask for the PS3 for xmas and save up for the Wii until I caught a look at the PS3's price tag. I tend to get expensive electronics things for christmas, but a PS3 costs more than all the gifts I've gotten in any one year combined. If anything I'll get the Wii now (and the Wii version of Twilight Princess with it ^_^) and buy a PS3 when-- and if-- the prices drop in a year or so.

Why is it almost all the cool games come out for the most expensive system? ;_;

"A Wii version has not been officially announced despite Capcom's exclusivity deal with Nintendo with the previous Resident Evil titles. Capcom has, however, announced that they will be making a separate game for the Wii that will utilize Wii's hardware capabilities and unique controller.

No official release date has been announced. In an interview with executive producer Keiji Inafune published in the Japanese publication Xbox 360ism states that both versions of the game will be released simultaneously if possible, depending on the launch date of the PlayStation 3, which has now been confirmed as early November 2006. The game will have online features that have yet to be disclosed."


So, yes, Wii will have a RE, but it will be different, and it will be released after the other 2 . The Xbox and PS3 platforms are more than confirmed, the only unknown factor is of cource "the release date".

The price is funny, but it will be more than just a game console, and that is what I like about the PS consoles. Good thing is, if Wii is as popular as i see here, then the price for the PS· will go down after a while.


Sony is taking advantage of the impatience caused by this "revolution" in gaming. I think making Wii cheaper was a nice move for Nintendo though :).

I was really looking forward to getting the PS3 on the launch-day, but with that pricetag they have to be insane, so ill wait for a price drop, im recieving my brand new spankin DS Lite anyday now anyways.

But Wii looks like something to really keep your eyes on, because its all about the "feel" and not the graphics.
