Lemme start this with a recent sketch. This started with me playing with Goro's photoshop brushes to make a simple tree, then this resulted from it.

Then, a while back a friend and I were talking about monsters we'd made for our RPG sessions. He mentioned a tribe of African Goblins that rode around on Zebras. Well yesterday another friend handed me a stack of national geographics today with zebras on the cover, and I needed to make something for a gallery show. This is what followed.

Kinda disapointed in myself for this one. Spent too much time fussing with paint mixing and actual application that my draftsmanship really suffered. Still, not too bad for my first oil portrait.

Over this summer I'm focusing on traditional drawing skills, setting down the digital pen and drawing only on paper or painting with oils acrylics. The main focus being to get my draftsmanship skills up to a respectable level so I can start making portfolio pieces.
