Hey! I'm new to the forums, but I'm up for any critiques I can get. I'm looking for work in the concept section of the game industry right now, and I want to improve my portfolio. Here are a few things from it:

Thanks in advance for any comments.

hey dude, i dont have much to say about the concepts 'cause they depend on the world that you're putting them in. just a general comment, i think you whould work on rendering your textures so that someone can differentiate between them. in the first picture, all of the materials (skin, clothes, accessories, etc) look like the same texture, and on the 2nd one the textures don't show that the chicken is explicitly metal. working in the games industry, i assume that someone will be turning your concepts into 3d characters or so; it helps them a lot to be able to look at a drawing and say, "ok, that's metal, that's cloth, that's silk, that's leather, thats burlap..." so that they can easily figure out how to texturize the model. it makes the process faster overall. i hope this helps; good luck with the concepts.

I think you have a good grasp on colour and general pose drawing, perhaps try and work on finishing your drawings with a bit more care.

1st pic- nice overall concept where your going with it is obvious looks pretty good, but like purb said look more into your textures.
2nd pic- I personally love this one, being a big FF7 (Final Fantasy) Freak it reminds me of a evil mecha chocobo ^_~ sweet.
For the 3rd creature the over all concept is good, but look more into anatomy, there is NO WAY that will be able to gey around.
Good work keep it up, your concepts are pretty cool just work on advancing your technique alittle! -thumbs up-
