CONCEPT:
Firass (pajaro ignis colossus rectum) is a bird like creature, scientist resently discoverd that this creature is the immediate decented of the legendary Phoenix. Know by his rivals for his fierce and most deadly weapon.....his ass.

The Firasses are banned by the local inhabitants to the mountains because of there tendensie to burn everything that is in there immediate surrounding. They are not aggresive creatures but they have almost no control over there gasses that are highly flammable, the fact that they only are interrested in a plant called the Chillyplant ( plantus verius hottus) does not help. This creature hasn't a long life perspective because the continusly burn infections make him very weak against bacterias.

lmao, what a wonderful creature idea! *laughs* fireass...those little images at the bottom crack me up haha, well..anywho, crits..

the only thing that pops at me is that the background seems rushed, like you splashed color on it, opposed to the detailed fore-ground. also, I'd make the fire kind of..illuminating some of the feathers and ground a little more, and throw in some highlights or something..

otherwisee..i cant spot anything too wrong. : )

lol his deadly weapon = his ass. This is a nice piece. I agree you could use some hightlight (soft transparant white light).

Funny stuff. Nice rendering on the bird, though the flame doesn't work for me. Too much blue in it, I think. Also, it doesn't seem to be a light source at all. Judging by the shadow under the bird's ass, the bird's body seems to be the major lightsource, which doesn't make a lot of sense.

My biggest problem is the body, I guess. I couldn't tell what the hell I was looking at until I saw the little diagrams at the bottom. I can't tell if it has wings or not, and the gills o' fire make his body pretty unrecognizable.

The diagrams are a great touch. I like this pic, it just needs touching up
