Bull Toad Environment Concept

Here is a drawing of an environment that I thought up for the Bull Toad character that I designed. Some day I'll get these guys turned into 3D models. Till then hope you enjoy the renders!!

The moon looks a bit strange, nestled in the clouds, but I like the environment overall. The scale of the 'lilypad' in the foreground seems a little ambiguous.

The legs on the bull toad could use a bit of work. Right now, they just look like stubs coming out from the waist, though I'm assuming he's supposed to be crouching.

The blueline rendering for both pieces are interesting.

I think you got the blue pencil thing down.

You are going to think I am nuts for saying this, but it is a pet peeve of mine.

The envrionment is fantastic. tons of intricate detail.

The only thing that takes from it, in my eye, is the lack of straight perpendicular lines.

I have found that nice straight lines will take an environment like this to the next level. Since this is a side shot it would be soooooo easy. I just use the line tool in photoshop. In your case I would just use a white line tool and drop a bunch of 1px straight lines where necessary.

It will do wonders.
