Based on all the feedback and input I've received from my first Punisher movie concept, I went back and did a revised concept.
I made the Punisher's features more square and gruff, added more gear, and arranged the gear in a more interesting layout.
I kept the lighting and palette consistent between the two concepts.
[edit]
The image has been tweaked several times to fix problems caused by my bad drawing. The face should more or less be 'correct' now. Before it was all sorts of skewed and mangled.
Here's the new concept first:

I'm a big fan of all things Marvel, and those look absolutely great.
There is something about the face in the original image that I like more... I think it's the subtlety and expression, thats just my opinion.
Do you have anymore of your work I could look at?

I like the new one better, however keeping inline with the un-supernaturalness(I create a new word when I need one:P) of the punisher story I'd make the eyes slightly less red. Perhaps a bit more brown or grey. Looks good, just a tad out of place ;) Overall nice re-work.

I'd like to throw out a suggestion. The big packs on the chest harness are not real practical. Take a look at SWAT teams and special forces harnesses. If you try to fire a weapon it would be resting on one of the many packs and not be accurate. Most harnesses have a sling clip on the side you would rest your weapon on. This allows you to let go of the weapon and it will dangle on the front at a hands reach. The concept is GREAT and certainly better that what I saw was the first pictures from the movie. Looks great, keep them coming.

Thanks for all the input. I didn't spend any time at all fine tuning this piece, so it's good for you guys to note the little things.
Dieselseven, a lot of the reaction to the first concept was that the face was too young, soft, and not grim enough. I prefer the original face myself, too, but the new one suits the character more.
WildSpruceMoose, I toned down the red in the figure's eyes. The red was standing out just a bit too much.
Endrgegan, you're right, the eyes were farkin' huge. I scaled them down a good bit.
Looking back, I noticed that the face was all off symmetry wise, so I fixed that as well.
Ronin, I should have made provisions for a stock rest or something, but I just got lazy. I should have drawn a sling as well. These deficiences are okay, though. The Punisher always fires from the hip. ALWAYS. ;)

I like the new pic better cause you've put more weapons in there and his eyes look psycho. ;)
I think his eyes should be a little lower though. Maybe... Can't really tell, but something about his face doesn't look quite right...
And the size of that MP5 in his left hand looks too big.

There's nothing wrong with the face -- that's perfect.
I love it!
Some lil' points...
The legs are a tad short, which makes him look dumpy :)
And the overall pic looks "flat" in some areas, like for instance at the gun that hangs at his back (at the right shoulder) and at his right (our left) upper leg.
I'm not sure what's causing it, maybe some more 'cast shadows' will take care of it, but i'm no expert on color :)
Nice drawing

Hey,
Cool pic, I love the colour scheme. The face is good, he looks older, more distinct. But I find his whole body proportion a bit off. His head, neck and shoulders look too wide for the rest of the body. The arm holding up the gun is quite small, and the legs are short.
Generally, I'd make him taller and a tad bit bigger. His face is of a guy on a mission, angry, no messin' wit him, so try an show this through the way he is standing.
Overall, a cool pic man. Keep it up!

the perspective of his feet look off. he could still look a bit tougher, a five oclock shadow maybe. the hair might be making him look younger as well

well its def an improvement over the first attempt
love all the extra puches and weapons--although he may have just a few too many--like the batons/ swords attahced behind his right leg could go byebye
i agree theres something off on his face--maybe the hairline is too low? or his eyes could come down a tinytiny bit? not sure.....
i think you could add some wear and tear to his clothes and weapons---scratches, ddiscoloration,
his boots feel kinda like leather dress shoes
overall a good piece tho---Also
i must commend you on all the hard work youve been doing lately---keep it up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!----ty
and with all the feedback you give on this forum im suprised everyone isnt rushing to return the favor here.
