HI Guys,
This is my first post from the last update on 29. 07. and it is not even a sketch. :) This is a fragment from my current illustration in progress. I have taken this shot because I find it interesting and maybe it will make you hungry to see the final image whet I will finished it. The theme is piracy. I have start this painting long before the premiere of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" but after I've watch it that inspired me to go back and start from where I have leave it. :wink:

This is really cool stuff. The amount of exageration you use is almost unnerving, since the detail work is very close-to-life. It creates this beautifully artistic atmosphere that I think is need for these pieces to function. Very nice work. I hope to see more posts soon!

@sith - Thanks that you find some time to spend around. Your SB is one of the best for me! Thanks mate!!!
@Mr-Joe - There is no formula for that. Ordinary I'm starting with some big brush and I'm trying to find and earn some forms. Actually I don't have any initial idea when I'm starting a new sketch. Just choosing the background color and start painting the solute with some darken tone.
Here's the new stuff from today...

Nice updates, the Girl with the dino I like the colors, but It looks like her right leg (left side of the picture) is really thick, I think it is because the shadow on the beast under her leg blends in with her leg making it look really thick, and those vines in the front are kinda distracting and seem to get in the way, and their colors seem awkward, they kinda look like a bunch of spider legs in front of a picture. The other picture is great. Nice work man.

Good to see your back, u'r stuff is a real inspiration. I was looking at this guy: http://conceptart.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=148921&stc=1&d=1181055678 and i really like the underlying detail and texture. I was wondering though how you get things like the skin texture on the forehead. Do you just paint everything out and then do a couple brushes over the top? or do u do an overlay layer after you are done painting it? or a color dodge layer? i'm very curious how u get such a textural feel to your stuff. Thx for bringing this back, there is some awesome stuff here.

Really nice creature designs, especially like the portrait piece at the end. It looks very feminine in my eyes for an alien. I dont know if it is a female but looks that way in my eyes. @strych9ine - Thanks, man! The last one is the most fresh piece in this. Actualy It was made hours before posting the update. It is so fresh that I still like it... till tomorrow. :)
@dkounios, TheGnoll, Call0ps, zweiDee, RaistlinTheDark, Ulie-J - Thanks a lot guys!!!
@ArtZealot - The whole image is rendered with texture after the brush work, so your suggestion is right. 10x! ;)
@Renegade_1 - Hey - thanks that you spot at my appearance over ImagineFX. I'm glad that someone read it and like it. I'll post the workshop in near days over CA. Big thanks!
End here is the new one... I'm trying to keep alive that thread... This is a bit unusual stuff from me but better trying before denial... :) Environment is not exactly my speciality but sometimes the theme of the drawings need to be changed...
