Be harsh, that's the first i'm painting digitally one of my work. I've done it with Photoshop and the mouse. I feel it kind a messy, and anyone can show me the place I need to highlight more ? I know the pants feel weird too, I don't know how to paint leather lol. Any comments would be appreciated.
I've really enjoyed doing this, can't wait to do another.

yo. :bashful:
really nice for being done with a mouse. so, highlights...it all starts with the light source, so you need to decide where that's gonna come from. looking at the hair, it seems that the light source is from the upper right side of the page, so you want all your shading and highlights to be based off of that assumption. following the form, the shadows should be on the side of the forms opposite the light source, and the highlights should be on the side of the forms facing the light source. all highlights are are reflections of the light source, and different surfaces reflect light differently because of their textures. in regards to the leather, now, i know you have some leather pants somewhere in your house. ;) break them out, and hold them up to the light in a place similar to where they would be if your drawing was a picture. look closely at how the light reflects off of it and what kinds of light patterns and shadows are made on the pants by the light source, and then try to use that understanding to draw your picture. i hope this helped; good luck dude.
