I have just begun to play around in the world of 2D art. Agreat friend is helping me with providing tutorials and examples on what level of work I should shoot for. I hope to find some strating position at a game company doing 2D artwork. Thanks for any and all critiques.

cool drawing, but even the hulk doesnts have a face that wide. Looks like his face is made of putty and someone stretched it.

I would have to agree with Jnorish about the width of the face. With that said, you have a great grasp of value for someone who is just starting. You got the dark and middle tones working well. You might add some highlights to punch it out a little. Another thought, his eyes seem a little befuddled. It's the same look Shaq conveys whenever he's at the freethrow line...you might want to change that, unless that's your intention.

All good points. Now that I look at him his face is a little to stretched. I just started to free flow and he popped out. Thanks for the input.

The whole pic looks flat. Like the outer edges of it are the highest points. It needs a lightsource from somewhere to add deepth.

And I have to say the hulk had appearances where he did have such a wide face. But heīd hardly be seen with a pleasant or absent or careless look on his face. I mean, beeing a creature fueled by pure anger and rage, eh?

Thatīs the important stuff if you wanna do the pro work. Characters need distingu.... pflbblbb darn english
recocgnizable feautures that help transporting what they are and whaT they do.

Anyway, carry on. Not a bad start.
