drew this after watching Kirikou and the Sorceress, inspired by Karaba the wicked sorceress

relaxed the anatomy just to have a little fun, not sure if it works well enough to paint?

This is a really cool piece and I realize it is stylized.

The fore arm doesnt look right in the fact that it is bowing or curving forward in that manner, you could get away with straightening out or curving it the other direction though, and then the exageration won't be that big a deal. it will be grounded somewhat in reality of the viewer despite the exageration.

Also take the time to fit in the other arm you would see part of it sticking out somewhere anyway, show the elbow bent out behind the back for example. and maybe a hint of the other breast showing too. even if this is a profile there still has to be some more dimension in her.

My two cents. Good piece.

Dude, go ahead and paint her. It should be a pretty nice piece. Earth tones and gold highlights are my suggestion.

thanks for the comments
Chad you made some good points, I want the form to be exaggerated but at the same time believable, I'll keep what you said in mind when I get around to ptg this
Jens yeah great movie, not a lot of african themed animation out there -- I thought about the spines in her back but maybe it's too close to the original character -- I want this to be inspired by Kirikou, not a copy;
Aikesean, cool thanks and earthtones are definitely the way to go
