Hey everyone! This post is regarding some help I need for a game I'm designing. I work for Career Services @ Texas State university | San Marcos (I'm also a student). I am developing an educational game in Flash for uses on the website which I also maintain.

THE BASICS:The guy I'm supposed to be working with is graduating and wont be able to help me with any extra graphic sprites/textures I will need. This is a real project and the deadline for a beta release is sometime July 2006 ish and the overall deadline for a Release is the beginning of Fall 2006 semester. I have a complete design, purpose statement, duties, and much more all put into a Design Document/Software Requirement Specifications Document. So I AM organized :) !

COMPENSATION: Sadly, there isn't any money involved because I am a work-study student and can't really give that money away as it is financial aid hehe. BUT I'm doing this for my portfolio and I would really appreciate some help. If you do decide to help you will have full access to this game for portfolio purposes and be recognized on the credits fully!

Also, if your needing help with career ANYTHING, this would be an excellent connection to have. I'm sure the office staff will be willing to help you with anything career related thats on your plate from a distance through email, snail-mail, etc. (Its a great place to have connections!)

THE GAME: All in all this is an educational game for univeristy purposes as an experiment to see how many students will respond to the game information. It is based on a 4 step process of gathering information and selecting career and major paths (some real boring stuff but its all done so dont worry about it :) ).
This will be written in Flash 8 using ActionScript 2.0 for simplicity and time's sake. This makes it more simple for the artist too; cookie cutter sheets of sprites will work great. All the specifics are in the Des Doc that I will submit to those willing to help.

Keep in mind this game will be on a University Website and IS PUBLIC! So there will be people seeing it, it won't be kept in my basement for a million years or anything.

If you are interested, please email me ASAP - kev05@sbcglobal.net
or just reply and let me know of your interest and Ill give you a copy of the Design Doc and any other info you would like to look at provided youre serious about willing to work on this project!

PS - If you have any questions please feel free to ask!

PEACE,
