Love it, reminds me of the Escaflowne movie but of course you modeled it much better without the limits of having to animate the character.

The only critique I have is that his mane should maybe be thicker, he sort of looks like a buffy head floating atop a suit of armor.

oh man... its is beautiful, there is a tear in my eye. i love the colors and armor. makes me drool... you already got plenty of pats on the back, but i just had to say something. it think it would be cool to add some light to his right arm... like a cool aqua/blue color with some faint reflections on the armor

I'm going to bust out some Art History lingo and say you've got some crazy chiaroscuro going on in this image.

The armor is rendered amazingly, like your other images--you seem to have a knack for painting weathered metal.

The fur needs a bit more work as it's lacking the detail that the armor has. Just some more texture.

Beautiful.

Blackhand, do you think she'll be able to translate chiaroscuro?

For those who dont now it means the technique of using light and dark in a piece.

Chiaroscuro is more than just using light and dark (which most, if not all, illustrations do). Look up the work of Caravaggio for a classic example.

There is truly wonderful light in this piece, facezero. I don't like the earrings, though, I think they stand out. Other than that, it's very atmospheric, and a great character!

cool! Love the regal expression - which is so natural on a cats face! Colors, armor, mood - all captured nicely.

I agree on the earings, and I have seen the sliced catarc eye before, but it works here.

The concept and rendering style are really nice.

An amazing piece. The armour has been rendered very well and the face itself loooks good, although I think I'd agree with Juiceabout the mane, it needs to be bigger, it makes the head seem a bit small (glad I wasn't the first to mention that though :3) That's the only thing I can see in the pic to crit though, great job
