hey i really like that.

it reminds me of a piece of work done in the national geographic book called "our universe" but yours is much more colourful and still has an element of "what the heck are those things?!" kinda like you just arrived.

how long did that take?

Beautiful work. Although, I'd have to agree with Coma about the lens flare filter.

Yeah I hage that "our Universe" book. And the art was done by Michael Whelan. Nice stuff though. I like. And I don't think the lens flare is to much. It makes it look like one of those old pics from the sci-fi world of the 60''s and 70's.

Thanks,
I agree, the colors are a bit too much in the saturation department, and the lens flare, well, sorry about that. It seemed like a good idea at the time. HMMM, the perspective is weird on the wings.
The piece was done in acrylic and then some post work in PS ( God yes, the lens flare ). The painting took about two days, alot of glazing.
I have that Nat. Geo. book too!

nice stuff - Natural things are often less saturated. Here it gives them an almost tropicla fish feel.

Isn't it funny how photgraphers worked so hard to get lens flare out, and computer people have worked so hard to get them back. Full circle I guess..
