I got my tablet last week. I've done a few DSGs and thats about it. This image started as a DSG (the robot that fought back) that i decided to redo entirely and spend more time on.

Apart from failing to stick to the lines, and not have nice smooth lines. What areas do you think i need to work on most?

Ideally i'd like for the red parts of the forearm and upper arm to look like there is some kind of glass panel over them, does anyone have ideas how i can get that?

Well I've never done glass before, but I would try with highlights, reflections and transparency. I think you should try and avoid those black voids that you have in there. Read Prometheus tutorial on light and colors and all that, if you haven't already, it's excellent.
