did this drawing tonight and am not 100% sure where to take it next
id like to give more detail/patterns to the costume--keep the dark to light fade
maybe a sword on his back?
any suggestions?

this is a pretty good magical sparkling baby unicorn, but then again im no magical sparkling unicorn artist :)
I think it would be cool if the background was darker and the cloak would sort of be enshrouded in the darkness near the bottom.
Nice concept tho, good idea goin on here

Nice colors, It would be hard to ad patterns to the cape, because of the folds, not that you shouldn't do it, but maybe just move on to the next one:)
I will say it looks like a study more so than a design, at this point, There's a good shape idea there, and the color blending makes it look appealing, but the sideways head with the opening in the front kinda doesn't read as practical. Still very cool work.

I think it gets better as it progressed. You sword handles have a little too much curve in them for my taste, but still, it was good, and got better. Nice post. And for curiousity, what angst drove you to title the thread unicorn-anything? Do explain, sounds interesting.

I just keep getting the sense there should be arms coming out of the folds somewhere...maybe give some sort of continuity so the costume is stuill a costume as you go down the picture, not just a pattern.
Unless thats what you want.
I definately think the last colour set works best.
