these guys are for a new TV series for Pre-teen audience.
story and plot are still not quite done yet, but i know it`s about a group of children perfoming FolkTales in their home-made low-tech theatre.
cheers,
Pat.

pretty nice!
love the chubby outline-style a lot, man!
gives your art in there a very cool 60's/70's cartoon/advertisement style (like for some softdrinks in those years...)

thanks alot guys. means alot to me. :)
with deadlines breathing down the neck, i must produce very quick, yet very clear and colorful pieces plus conveying character...
so my process became as such that my artwork always gets these thick lines and spots of color since i sketch and paint at the same time.
these 4 kids got chosen but there were more children (done even faster) which didn`t make it.
about 20-30 minutes a piece.
cheers,
Pat.

The books in the Asian girls arms can be improved. I like the youth expressed in each ones faces.
Keep doing you

THis must be among the best i've seen of your work yet. All the figures look really fluid have strong character, perfect for animation.

wow.. you crazy people just made my day.
DANKA - thanks buddy. i`m not sure who you reffer to, but if it`s CURLY over there, he`s holding a water baloon not a baseball bat. whice means it wasn`t clear enough and that`s my bad.
rWDrk - thanks alot man. :)
Ragnar X - 10x.
miracola - thank you jeff. it means alot to me.
Vulgar` - yes you`re quite right. all of the hand portions of the kids could be better. i`ll get better with time, hopefuly.
Elnady - many thanks. :)
Jarri - yeah... the animation is probably gonna be in 3D, so i hope the modeler will get these guys right.
AmishCommy - thanks. but these are just super-quick concept artwork, and we gotta keep moving with production so there`s no intention of cleaning `em up. :)
Geophillyx - thanks mate, appreciate it.
walnut - man....thanks for the kind words there. :)
JoshuaTheJames - thanks man. it sure means alot coming from you. :D

well, after a while some important guy in a suit noticed that things
aren`t PC enough.
so it got decided that a 5th kid (a black kid) will be added.
so there you go:

This new piece is as cool as the others! great job. When the suits decide to get diverse, why is it always just one African-American kid? Why not two, you know? So formulaic man!

Because the audience won't be able to tell the characters apart and will get confused! Of course!

mm only so much political correctness you can get out of something without being cliche or patronising. any more and i think itd be pushing it. the blonde boy is a masterpiece, reminds me very much of myself as a child :D great break with the TV show dude, keep us posted!

awsome - clear and clever. cute too.
I dig the kid with the ice cream, his pose and look are awsome.
May I suggest for maximum PC give the black kid glasses and a calculator and perhaps put him in a wheelchair. I supose "Malcolm in the middle" really hit the nail on the head with that one - the ultimate PC character. Make him Jewish too. And heck why not make him gay aswell.

god i hate it when this bs happens.
well if we love other races so much, then wheres urs asian and ur indian and arab and etc?
sorry guys, but i hate american political correctness. one day it will die out i hope.
and i think a little mistake happaned, the white kid is wearing the jersey and the black has a dress shirt, this is rather not very cliche
