from last few days i am felling very upset:upset: b'cause i wasn't able to draw a drawing. From so many days i wanted to draw natural scenes(like trees, grasses)
through pencil(HB or 2B) shading because of my attraction towards nature.so i tried drawing a tree in the park but i wasn't able to draw because:
1.it was very difficult to draw each leaf separately as when i looked downward
towards drawing sheet, i could not able to recognise where i was before on the tree and it was difficult to find out that leaf again.
2.i don't know anything about perspective.so it was also a very big hurdle.

i think trees can only be drawn from far away as it removes complexity because of leaves, also it brings in shading only and many boundries are merged.
can anyone give my the right technique for drawing trees and perspective tips and tricks and tutorials from scratch.
drawing is my hobby and i love it very very much.can anyone please help me out,i would be very thankful.please reply soon.

It's possible to draw very compelling trees without making a 1:1 facsimile of a real tree. Don't worry about replicating the small scale structure (such as individual leaves, which may be constantly moving anyhow) of the tree at least until you have established the large scale structure of the tree in terms of simple shapes. Try to concentrate on the impression the bulk volume of the leaves provides for you at this point - treat all of the leaves as a single object with a bulk texture and a bulk interaction with light and continually refine that impression regardless of whether it reflects the minutiae of real thing.

Also, try to put a space between the periods ending your sentences and the next sentence as it really makes things easier to read.

Good luck, I hope this helps.

Sometimes, seeing how other artists solved similar challenges can be a good way to work out your own. I just Googled "pencil landscapes" and came up with this site (http://www.hung-art.hu/frames-e.html?/english/m/marko_k1/muvek/3/).

If you draw a beach, you would not want to draw every grain of sand. If you draw a human, you would not want to draw individual pores/hair on his/her skin. Therefore, concentrate on getting an accurate outline of your tree, and let accurate shading bring out the texture of the bark and the body of the leaves.

thanks to everybody for that info,
i am also in favour of not drawing each and every leave because it makes drawing very complex but i saw mike sibley's drawing(on his website)he did a marvellous job by drawing each leave separately.so which method should i follow?
and i want knowledge about perspective drawing from scratch so that i can easily analyze 3-d view of the things (w.r.t my eyes).

Take two of these and call me in the morning. I would have probably provided more personalised suggestions but big text is just plain obnoxious. At any rate I pulled those off the CA wiki (http://www.conceptart.org/wiki/doku.php) which should probably be your first port of call.
