this is really beautiful stuff....the background is sublime. My only nitpick would be to give the vampire's eyes some shine/wetness, but really that is pretty minor. Overall this is awesome.

i am going in the corner to cry a bit, just in case someone will look for me...

the clothes he wears... they are so much just negative space blotches inmidst his skin.
if i only had the ideas while working on an image to paint this and that in a simpler way...

Great work. I love the blue eeriness of the color composition. The painting as a whole has so much atmosphere and narrative to it...it's remarkable, really. Plus, I like how the viewer actually participates in this piece. It's as if I (the viewer) dared to cautiously peek into his world and suddenly got noticed! It really pulls you in. Again, Great work.

very cool, i sometimes think your work gets alittle too desaturated.

here's an example of where i think i would like to see your work go

davi I didnt want to "turn the lights on"...I wanted them off...he sleeks and hides in shadows...in the game the nos characters are able to hide in shadows...they arent going to hang out in the light. ;)

saturating an image changes mood. everything I did was on purpose in order to get the mood and feel that i chose. I will say that your suggestion makes an image that has more POP and such...increasing saturation range...value range...and overall contrast in temperatures will make an image pop the hardest. however..sometimes its the middle values that hold the mood and ambiguity. its all a balance...but first and foremost its the subject matter that has to be considered.

I can do a full range of saturated to unsaturated in my stuff...Ill repost that book cover image so you can see how craaaazy my color can get. hehe

anyhow...thanks for the kind words all.

This really is a frightening world depicted. The gothic architecture in the back really makes the piece, along with little details like the 'agonized' bust on the corner of the balcony and the baboon standing on top of it.

I hate baboons and mandrills--vicious little turds.

Great painting, but I think you could have gone a little uglier, he's a nos, you know- clan curse and sewer crawling takes it's toll.
Cool monkey.
I can't wait to see more paintings from this game!

I never saw many churchs in same place hehe.. awesome colours, background..

It is something which I'm devoid of the monster with small head and large hands :D the expression ? it might be.. I mean that the monster doesnt look so cruel

The monkey looks very cool! Really different..

Okay I just soild my undies. This guy is FREAKY! I like the wizard of oz monkey in the background.

DAVI: You always want people to saturate their work more, perhaps your monitor needs to be calibrated.

Jason,

Awesome work. I am wondering what size's the original, and this one (50%?)

How much Painter, how much Photoshop?

Thanks,
