doesnt he know that that's a felony? at least no one can use that video against him, cuz you never see anyone's face.
from the site:"Marc Ecko Enterprises does not condone illegal activity, acts of vandalism, or the destruction of other people's property"
what a fuckin ass

"You, the viewer of the preceeding are hereby advised that the video does not depict a real event. It is intended for the sole, limited and express purpose of entertainment and to induce you, the viewer of the video, to think critically about freedom of expression and speech and the government's responses to the same."
Come now, any unauthorised person getting within 1000 meters of said plane would be automatically targeted by satellite rain :S

It would be more poingant if he wasn't a millionare from his clothing brand anyway. Just another publicity stunt, like richard branson does.
So it's not real...way to be psuedo hardcore!
Change title to: Mark Ecko pretends to tag prez's plane!

I hate taggers ..go to any large City in the US in the downtown area and you will see the " Beuty " of there " Art " If Graffiti artists kept there sleezy art to places that was not private property then Pens and Spray cans would not be illegal for those under 21 . The sad truth is most Graffiti artists are gang members tagging there supposed territory . Bunch of wankes. I hope they throw this guy in prison for a good long time .

Oh damn... people are going to be angry over this. All I can say is to have some more respect and think about what you say before coming to stupid generalizations.

He's lucky he didn't get shot.
No no, not for this stunt, I meant for his shitty game.
Not just his game, but all the comments he made prior to its release about the game industry and how conservative it was and how deep in a rut it is. He spent countless hours trashing other developers over how redundant things have gotten and then he releases one of the most derivative and frankly boring videogames that's been made in a long time.
Oh, and I have a hard time taking the "still free" crap seriously when he's got product placement for the iPod sprinkled liberally throughout the entire finished product.
Ecko is a publicity junkie and little more. Any integrity he might have had as a graffitti artist (which I question frankly) was lost a long time ago.

My problem with this is
1) No where in the video does it mention in the beginning that it is a fictionalized stunt. Therefor those children and teenagers watching this "cool" video who could care less about reading legal disclaimers are influenced by this and will then go out and think it is cool to do this.
2) Freedom does not mean go out and do whatever the fuck you want to do. I think Mark should reword his message into something a bit more plausible....when you put "I love this country" and "things should change" in the same thought trail...that spells paradox to me.
3) Perhaps he could condone grafitti art that is legal and "allowed" to be done in public. He states he doesn't condone destroying public/private property but yet he makes a video that is ohhh so cool about destroying albiet fake property of the president. Wow way to get the message loud and clear.

Read the disclaimer on his site, it actually states that the video is fake. Snarfevs has already pointed this out once but I guess it was over looked.

You know, I can just imagine Jean Baudrillard absolutely laughing his arse off with a bottle of wine in one hand and a gun in the other at a world where sociopolitical statements are faked by fashion brand execs. O tempora!

I hate taggers .
I agree, Tagging is an act best reserved for low life scum and filthy back alley street urchins. I walk down the street in the city and I have to see these stupid scribbles all over the architecture.
However I think graffiti art is cool.
There are a few places around Auckland that are specially allocated to bomb artists, and there are always cool works going on.
Mark Echo?
I thought that brand was called Rhino.

lol, his game got banned here in Australia because it 'promotes and glorifies the crime of graffiti vandalism'. Never mind games like need for speed that promote street racing, GTA that promotes beating the shit out of everyone and stealing cars, Manhunt that promotes suffocating people with plastic bags...the list goes on. Not that it really matters, I hear it's a piece of crap anyway.
