Again with the orcs, for cryin' out loud... ;)

I'm just about at the point of diving into the detail phase, so before I move in that direction I thought I'd toss it up and see if anyone might suggest some bigger issues to address first..

Some days the seat looks good to me (perspective-wise), some days it doesn't...

Here's the sketch:

everythings looking good, the only thing is you might want to check your perspective on the arm rest, it seems slightly off. But other than that, good work, looks very blizzardesque.... if that really is a word...

I think your problem with perspective on the chair lies in two simple changes. The top right of the chair seems to be thinner than the left side. In the case of your drawing, it should be the other way around. The arm rest looks like its coming towards his stomach and not going straight with the perspective. It needs to bend out more, it gives the apperance that the orc is sitting funny.

I hope that helps ...

I don't see any real evidence of the hithermost armrest, if there is one. His hand seems way too low and I think the cloak would bend differently under the lower arm.

Ahhh, just the extra eyes I needed! (Maybe I'll keep the thread updated with more progress pics.)

Your feedback also made me realize that his chair needs to be a little more "designed," and that his weight is on that eblow, and it has to be supported by *something*...

Here's where I am at after the first round of feedback, with just a few more details added in.
