painting i am currently working on. i am actually doing this for master wu's class. i have to do 4 by next week...and this is only the first one, heh. guess i will be very busy. i think this is about 24 x 30. trying to figure out what to do with the background....oh yeah, its an old painting im painting over, so thats what the white lines are. any help would be awesome.

fuckin nice Daarken !!
I see that your're going for a warm-cool contrast but that ear is just waay too red, it distracts my eye. Look at Rubens for these colour-palette, he has all answers for you!

I say fix the ear and leave it daarken. I like the white lines on the canvas. Leave this one a little more raw...plus it will help you save time for the 3 other ones you have to do.

kaini: i am honored to hear from the oil master himself! heh. yeah, the ear is too red, but i was doing that on purpose. lately i have just been pushing the colors of certain areas. people in class are like "the models ears arent that red" and im like yeah i know. heh. oh well. besides, james wu does the same, so he never bothers me about it. but yeah i understand that it might take away too much attention. thanks for the heads up though!
