Stop using the color picker!! Make your own color choices, don't let the computer make it for you!!! The likeness is very good so far, but STOP USING THAT COLOR PICKER!!!!!

Hey Darkvision, don't guess at the shapes of the face, its easier to start a portrait by blocking in the entire face with line instead of doing have and trying to match it with the other side later, it'll save you a lot of frustration. The eye you have started doesn't have the correct shape.....really, really look when you draw, don't just make up what you think the eye is gonna look like. I do enjoy the way you handled the mouth and the sense of light so far. keep working at it! its looking good.

to elaborate on fatty's wisdom here: the problem with the eye is that you've basically just drawn an oval. when in reality what happens is there is a spheroid, with fleshy flaps wrapped over it (the eye lids.). to ignore that is to get an eye that is stylized.
the tip of the nose - the lips is looking good... I'd second pixel's freakout about the color picker... if it's going to be an exact, photorealistic copy what is the point of doing it ... rote regurgitation? that said, it's looking badass.
