I live in America and Smores are the STUFF. My friend and i were talking about them and she was wondering if people in Britain, and Europe in General, have Smores. And if they do, do they call them Smores. (if you don't they're two gram crackers with a roasted marshmellow and chocolate in between). Thanks.

I thought it was supposed to be spelt with an apostrophe in the first place...

i had the best idea for a smores related product. So good, that ive put in a patent for it (its still pending, but it'll pass soon).
get this:
S'moreos.

think about it, let it sink in.

aight. so you take a marshmallow and put it in the middle of an oreo. its so simple and sooooo delicious. basically, im the man for thinking of it.

Advent of Fate i shall call you ManSavior for thinking of that delicious idea. Now let us hark to the grocery store and buy ye marshallows and oreos and combine our love like some bastardized lovecraftian child of goo. j.k i really like the idea and the name rocks.

we've got this product in aus called s'ok... It's a kind of rice cracker iirc... Like they're saying 's'ok it won't lacerate your oesophagus'. I like the sound of smores better - somewhat more aggressive assertion of the merits of the product.

Still need to lay hands on some of the smoal from RvB...

how is it possible that the rest of the world is s'more-less? Shit, you'd think they'd have caught on by now.

Side note: does the brand of chocolate matter? I haven't had s'mores since I was 10 or something, but I remember using Hersheys as being the thing to do, even though I don't rate Hersheys very high myself.

If I had to guess I'd say they make... Snotatoes out of that? If weebl's stuff has taught me anything norway also has crabs which stands for something.

BTW if any execs are reading this thread, australia needs jolly ranchers. Those things are the shit. Oh and Dr. Pepper - sure the adverts were freakishly lame and semantically terrifying but the product was awesome. Jolt cherry almost cuts it.

yeah, we're both close enough to Hersheys country (Hershey PA) that I wonder if it's just a regional thing.

Just look at the size of american kids compared to the rest of the world. Only we would think to cram three sugar packed treats into one gooey mess. btw, i hate marshmellows....I'll stick to hershey kisses and teddy grahams...seperate of course

I wonder if " Wagon Wheelies" are similar. Sweden dont have no special snack like that. We only get flavoured ice cubes ( dont eat the yelllow ones!) and small hard apples.

american peanut butter has WAY too much sugar... i had one of those hershey yokes... with the peanut butter, i almost got sick. And your chocolate is crap, no offense its just crap. i heard somewhere its because in europe we have to have a higher cocoa content for it to be considered chocolate or something, and as far as I know the darker chocolates in america are usually imported... but that is only hear say from my brother whos been to the freedom country.

I remember wagon wheels... they where alright but they taste cheap, i had one recently after not having one for years, the chocolate and mallow taste cheap.

"Freedom Country"? *cracks up* Nice. XD

Yes, the cocoa content in American chocolate is very, very low. No listing of cocoa percentages on the outside of our chocolate packages! I've had the european stuff and it makes me sick...I assume it's just what you're used to. ;)

Tim, you forget the lovely pölsa and blood pudding.
It must be a cultural thing, because I love those things, while just the thought of marshmallows, s'mores and peanutbutter makes me want to hurl.
On the other hand I can plow through a packet of chocolate truffles in like five minutes. I need my 80% cocoa fix! :P

hey, I'll be the first to agree. I only use real peanut butter (you know, the kind that's just made out of ground up peanuts?) myself, and if I do buy chocolate, it's nearly always European dark (mmm, Lindt 70% killed my taste for milk chocolate). I don't waste it on vending machine chocolate. If I were making s'mores, however, I'm not about to spend $3 or more a bar when i can get some Hersheys for 50 cents.
