After 7 months project orange is soon going to release the DVD for their short film "Elephants Dream".
Not only are the graphics impressive to say the least, the short film is entirely produced with free software (music excused) and all files from the production are available under Creative Commons on the DVD.

Here's some teasers to show the standard of work.

Just recieved mine and i am extremely happy with it, i'll edit with a review later.
[EDIT]
Woah....
Okay, i must say i'm very happy i bought this DVD, the short film is fairly rough around the edges but amazing none-the-less, however i must state that it needs to be seen a few times and is made for a cinematic experience, that means loud high-quality sound, and 1920x1080 video, although my computer crapped itself trying to play it, i still recommend you do your best to do it, rather than play the NTSC and PAL versions right out.

The animation is rough, but that is only noticable if you run it at low-res since there is less pixels to smooth the actions over.
The visuals are outstanding and surreal, the above screenshots should be enough to give you a good idea of what to expect.
Audio is just as good if not even better, but there is alot of subtleties that can only be caught with the volume at the cinematic loudness it was made for.

It is fairly hard to catch onto what is going on with the story, but mainly cause they didn't have enough manpower or time to really flesh it out to make things more obvious, pay extra attention to how the characters act and say, and you'll be fine, but after a few viewings and you're still lost, the commentaries are there to help.

The Making-Of documentary was fun to watch and the other extras even more so.

All the files come with the DVD's as promised, although i think i'll need to upgrade my computer to look at it properly, since they were using dual screens and what not.

Overall, i highly recommend you grab yourself a DVD, or download it when it finally becomes available, (not long soon, they are probably prepping mirrors for the slashdot and digg crowds).
