Hello boys and girls, and welcome to Christian Aid UK.
dirty_c (aka Christian McNevin) is an active member of this-here-wonderful-arty-community and we wish to support him in his time of need.
Following a UK meet at the British Museum London, to see the Michelangelo exhibition, we, the Britons, would like to share with you the most memorable UK meet us folk have had so far....

Please donate your words of kindness and sympathy. The donations box did not make it. Shatter to a million pieces, it was swept away like yesterdays rubbish.
And no, DC did not manage to get the money that was inside...

We also had a 35 min Thunderdome before going into the Michelangelo exhibit called 'Oh, I hit my head on the Museum'

UK folk, please post the results

Thanks everyone haha - ok, so I got seven stitches above my eye, and a bunch of steristrips (the butterfly thingies) holding together my lower eyelid. Apparently I missed going blind my about half a centimetre. Guess it must be cause I was wearing my Muhammad Ali jacket haha

So I've taken the week off, have a monster headache and don't feel much like getting out of bed. This is what I look like now - should be more interesting when the bandages fall off and we get to see just how black my face is :D

**edit: molly, the picture rocks. totally looks like me, and what happened. except this morning i've realised i hurt my left arm pretty

Josh: Aww mooo, I look really gawkish in all of your photos :nohope: Ah well.

Mollz: You couldn't have had better timing - those shots are *perfect*, babe!

As for my pics - for some reason my card reader isn't reading the new card, which is ghey. I'll try it out again tomorrow (didn't really take many pics).

Soooo wish I'd taken a pic of the donation box though, the shattery damage was pretty damn impressive for the human head AND rather beautiful to look at.

Ouch that looks seriously painful DC. Heres hoping you don't suffer from some sort of trauma induced aversion to museums, or large boxes of money for that mater. That could crimp a mans style.

I'll second Oreganos' compliments to level headed UK security. Over here the combination of noise + money + blood would have resulted security charging in with guns drawn at the very least.

Unfortunately i didnt get to see the event firsthand because i was late like a a fool, but its probably best i didnt because as cartoonfox said just thinking about it made us laugh a life threatening amount and seeing it, well......

So i had to get by on eyewitness testimony, some said it was a homeless man desperate for change, others say molly pushed him, the list goes on:
-tripped on a turtle
-did it for the attention
-stumbled on phantom limb
-it was an accident

Here is the an artists impression of the event, as told in storyboards SAGA STYLE!

Please contact dirty_c by pm or msn to give 2pounds a week to give this desperate man a chance.

When I first was on this thread, I was just looking at the pictures. I thought DC had smeared Red paint on his face! Though why he would, I have no idea.:teeth: I had to read what happened to understand that it was blood and the poor donation box got a battering.
