Inspired by MattGamer's Alien piece (http://conceptart.org/forums/showpost.php?p=476588&postcount=2), I thought I'd better get off my arse and do something.
Here is my rendition of Giger's 'Phallelujah' (or part of it, at least).

Any criticism would be great.

Its nice, I especially like the holes on the... lungs? Thought I think you should have put more color. I don't know precisely what you should have done, cause I'm not that experienced with digital painting eighter, but it just seems to me the pice is not fully compleated.

mm, well i think all i can say, is use a bigger brush size, it looks like you spent ages shading with small brushtrokes. If you use a bigger brush you can just deepend some of the dark points, as well as picking out highlights on the tips of the "lungs" ;) hehe
Giger is always an amazing person to draw influence from, his stuff is very intense!

Thanks for the comments...
I'm not really sure if they're lungs, I've always seen them as some sort of alien/facehugger type thing, but i guess I think that because its Giger.
Regarding the lack of colour, most of Giger's pieces have a limited range of colour, this one in particular. I guess I was trying to mimick that but in a different visual style.
When you say the piece doesn't seem to be complete, what do you think needs to be added?
Cheers.

Haha, yeah I realised that after working on the 'lung' area for about 2 hours then zoomed out properly... bugger.

I believe, from the title 'Phallelujah' that it's a representation of the underside of a penile glans.
Grief I know my terminology don't I?

That would make a lot more sense than my version, but I still see it as some sort of alien growth.

After receiving some crits, I decided to produce a revised version:
