wow, i have been very very very bad about not posting here. this is my attempt to get back into the habit. these pics vary from personal projects to commissions. all are done in Painter 7. rip em apart, folks. i gotta know what's a miss and what's working ;)

I just love the last one. The lighting and coloring is so beautiful. And I think your character's faces had been a lot better looking lately. :D

Great work! I love the high contrast and lighting in your work, it really makes the subjects seem tangible and solid. Something about #2 looks flat, though. Maybe that's just in comparison with the others, though.

The only thing is that you have alot of the cheek flaps. Lame crit, I know, but I just happened to notice.

VERY fun looking work though!

jaunty - i'll agree. it's the figure on the car that kinda off sets any depth. thanks :)

The top one is probably my favorite but you drew her lower left leg as if it's her right and her right knee looks really unbelievable. Oddly enough I still love it though. The headlights under the girl leaning against the car look really strange. I feel like it's either their value or possible just the fact that it makes her crotch a focal point because of the high contrast.

Ah, some more rich, lucsious work from euphony! I'm in love with the last two, but the depth of the shadows in the first two just doesn't seem justified when compared to the quality of the lighting. The first has some clues to nice, velvety clothes, but they seem overall too dark (though I love some of the lost edges). In the second, it just seems like the lighting is decreasing as we come down the street. Some sort of cool backglow on her would really charge this with life (similar to what you did with the third).

another good point about the blue back lighting. i may see if i can tack that on tonight and give it a try. thanks!

In the first one I would like to see more definition on the shapes of the stomach. I think it looks far too round. Otherwise pretty great. The last one is the best.

Hu. I don't really feel the last two (bad faces) but that first one is damn solid. Really rocken, that one. Second one's not setting my world on fire because the lighting on the figure makes her look like she's not part of the scene. It's unfortunate because it looks like the most ambitious peice, and you aaaalllmost pulled it off.
Also, are you aware all your girls look very similar? There are differences in all of them of course, but they could pretty much all be sisters.
