Hi there,
This is a concept design for a fairy tale dragon.
Comments are welcome.

Nice work..I like the way you use your light source.. although ....your rendering seems a bit flat .and i am not sure about the lower jaw ..it seems that it is too small in proportion with the rest....but that might be your intention...but i must say that I love you light..

i think you went for style and left the underlying form to fend for itself. it is difficult to tell whether or not the anatomical structure makes sence or not. if its hard to tell then its probably not right. try doing some life drawing of reptiles to understand what they are made up of and how they built. you show slowly transfor your life skecthes into your dragon concept. also draw from different angles so you have a 360 degree understanding of what it is your drawing.

Definate anatomical problems. I have no idea what's going on below the upper jaw. It looks like a mess of teeth but I can't be too sure. To to define some stuff down there with more light.
The eye is definately in a strange spot. Assuming this dragon's head is indeed semetrical, his eyes would be no more than 2 inches apart. A dragon is a mythical creature, so boundaries can be stretched to an extent, but remember to base all your creatures off some realistic animal anatomy. For example, referring to the skull of a horse, or a drawing of a dinosaur's skull, would help you to hash out the anatomical problems here.
Hope that helped.

Hi there,
Yeah, the neck is sh*ty. But the head is ok. I don't want it to look like 98% of the LOTR-style dragons. It's a caricature, a cartoon. I DID actually draw hundreds of animals and need actually no extra school for that.
But, if you still think it's sh*ty, then i'll take it seriously and maybe change some of that.
Many thanks,
Khan

I agree with Ryn. The head looks like it has hole in it. Go back and refer to some real life creatures like Kimono dragrons, gators or crocs. I think that should help you out.
