a newbie here:)this is something i've done for my college project on the concept art class.base on a chinese fairy tale(the legend of the whitesnake) but the era of the story has been re-modified.

hehe..its a little long to tell the whole story..anyway..i'll try to brief it up..the story begins in the year 3000 A.D,10 years after the end of the third world war that engulfed the world into a state of chaos.
many countries were wiped out and destroyed from weapons of mass destruction.the opposition is running low on bombs,they researched into new kind of chemical bombs and dropped hundreds of it into china.
It released alot of radioactive charges and affected many people.those women exposed to radioactivity later give birth to mutants,babies that had their body mutated according to their environment and dna..
the war lasted for 20 years .under the leadership of general Fa hai,China survived the war.his forefather and ancestors were great military leaders of China.The emperor awarded him money,land,power and title.although now regarded as the 'holy man' of China..he's actually a devil in disguise.his victories would seem as patriotic to others but is actually just to satisfy his own hunger for power.
Influenced of general Fa Hai who saw the mutants as a weakness and filthy creatures of China,he separated the population into 2 parts.The mutants lives on the ground and the rest of the healthy porpulation lives high up above the mutants.
Fa hai made a rule that no close relationships are allowed between the mutants and the normal people becoz he didn't want the number of mutants to rise and made the people believe that these mutants were full of various sickness.
there were 4 main characters in the story,the twins mutant sister which is known as the white snake,when she gets angry,snake scales would appear on her skin.her younger sis known as the green snake is a naugthy trouble maker,creates alot of problems seducing soldiers which attract the attention of Fa haiwho constantly monitors the mutants.Another male leading role'hsu shen' an acupuncturist who is passionate about his work and the lives of others,he devotes his life into revealing the truth that the mutants have no deadly viruses.....to be continued.:Phehe

there are more conceptual rendering done for the story,somehow,can't find a site to stall those works..any sites recomended besides villagephotos,boomspeed and imagemagician?hoping to post more here:)

i would get a little atmospheric perspective going on...especially on the second peice. sharpen the details in the foreground and slightly bring the background out of focus.
it looks like there is a little bit of this going on but, you could push it a bit more.
