this is the adoption of a orphan orc, by a shaman.

I wanted to design a cute baby, and female orc, but I had to "humanize" them a lot... because big jaws and teeth aren't very sexy...

I hope I made a good mix :)

well.. it's been long since i wanted to see an Orcish woman - and a beautifull one.
I don't mind humanizing them - i think every race on the earth should have a beauty part. Good job - keep at it!

The orc picturte is very cool, but I miss the white higlights you normally use in your pictures. They give the charachters so much more life! Agree with Davi, We Want Color!

Yeah the human-orc mix was handled very well. Like Payback said its hard to tell if the shaman is sitting or stadning. I'd suggest pulling that stone slab out a bit under his legs or farther back depending on if he is standing or sitting.

I like the tattoos on the woman and see similarity to that and Indian women with those cool tattoos and half face covering bandanas. I think you succeeded in doing what you wanted to do if it was give the orcs just enough human to make em' easy to our eyes, but also show some savageness.

I love it. Excellent work, great barbarian motif, and the orcs look good. Interesting to see that I wasn't the only one to use a veil as part of the "make-a-not-bad-looking-orc-chick"

The one comment I have is the shaman is waaaay too overdecorated. He looks like a buffalo. I'd change him into a past-his-prime warrior with maybe some feathers/tats/an animal skin cape/bandoiler and integrate all the stuff currently weighing him down into part of his tribal throne.

Still, that's an exceptional image.

i like this piece and pretty much everything you've posted here, but apart from saying the tattoo'd woman is awesome there's one big thing that throws the piece off. Everything's rendered so hardcore, but then you have this baby's face that looks like something out of a Tex Avery cartoon (nothing wrong with Tex, but it just doesn't fit)

throws the whole piece for me, I keep staring at that cartoon babyface, the rest is completely badass

I think you should at least experement with a more "realistic" (heh) female orc... an "ugly" one if you will...... one that a motcho, hairy, warty, toothy, alpha male orc would be proud to put his arm around... I think would look good with your style... and be special
