Hmm... I lost the back arm pretty easily. Other than that, very nifty, but the wrist too looks a bit fractured...Can't wait for tomorrow.

Is that a light shinning out of his chest? That's pretty interesting. Nice anatomy :D The back looks a tad stiff tho.

Cool stuff man, i really like the painting style.
Only thing for this one is that the balance looks a little off, shes leaning forward quite a bit and its not apparent shes using her feet for balance (underneath he dress). Looks good though man, really enjoy the painting here.

Thanks for the comments. I'm trying to give myself only a couple of hours from sketch to posting. If I have some extra time, I would like to go back and fix some after-thoughts.

the third piece is the strongest of them all. I really love the pose. You captured movement well, as with the others they seem sort of static. I love the colors you've chosen in all three, and the sketchy painterly quality to them. great stuff

I love this style, it reminds me of some of the really cool work coming out of Korea in the past year or so. On that note, I can see where phatandy and bhanu are coming from on the balance issue, but I think it plays into the style by 'bending the rule' in a graphic rather than illustrative way. Or I could be talking out my ass, it's hard to tell sometimes. . . Anyway, I think the second is the strongest; the first, in my opinion, just needs the swordhand turned into a more comfortable or natural position, maybe turning out the forearm as well. The third is nice but is definitely the most conventional of the three. Good work!

Thanks for all the support so far. I should probably but up a warning - These concepts are sketch by-products so they might seem kinda jumbled in terms of logic. I usually spend just a couple hours from beginning to post so if something seems wonky...yeah well...its because it is. No excuses here. I figure I'll learn more exponentially on concepts then lugging thru finished worked. I've just decided to make my sketchbook process more public.
Anywho...
Thanks again and enjoy the show!
Oh yeah...I usually pencil sketch then scan and color with Photoshop CS2. Takes on average 3 hours. I color full range in 300 dpi.

Nice stuff here wow, i really like color here i'm trying to get in the habit of doing some digital stuff myself but you are way further along than i am. I like the poses they are actually in interesting poses i like that alot. You have an understanding of anatomy as well. From this point on I wouldn't worry about the little mistakes that you make just keep moving forward. This is a very nice thread good work. You've inspired me to get to the digital painting right away!!:tihi:

Very nice project so far! Last one is my favorite, got nice mood, style and graphic look to it!
Theres quite a bit of disparity in style and design, but also quality, some seems bit more rushed or unclear of where you were going in terms of the design concept. Guess that partially comes from time restraints though.
Would like to see you explore some of these characters even further, see where you can go with them, many have potential that can be pushed more.

Yeah dude, killer paintings, awesome shapes in this (http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f277/Oddsea/kuranes02.jpg) un. And killer lines in this (http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f277/Oddsea/eva01.jpg) un. I think I like the stuff that incorporates line and tone the most, but this newest painting is truly killer too. Awesome jams man.
