Long time lurker first time posting. Here is my atempt at starting a sketchbook, Hopefully it will get better i am starting a life drawing class 24thApril so trying my hardest to develop my sketching! Trying to keep things as loose as possible. All drawn with a mechanical HB pencil so far! All C&C is Welcome positive C&C encouraged! :)

Anatomy for the Artist I see, I got that book too. Try loosening up more when you sketch, they are looking stiff. Also do some measuring and checking proportions while you practice your anatomy, especially on the girl, you made her look like a steriod chick. Just keep practicing.

When you do studies, try to draw a bit more precise. Ask yourself, is this what I see? Keep doing your studies, they will pay off.

Not very happy with my drawing at the mo:( Feel as if i am learning the anatomy but not producing very nice looking representations of it.I will continue though and keep practising until I do! I want to try to fill all 100pp of this sketchbook b4 I start my life drawing class in 18 days! All helpful advice and encouragement is needed!!:)

Hi, Haven't had the chance to update in a while though I have still been sketching. Didnt get as much done before I started life drawing, but hey! got set them ideals lofty! :) This is pretty much every sketch I have done except for a couple that are even worse. Hopefully you can see some improvement in my skills.....

Started an evening life drawing class. 1st time ive been in an art classroom since school! 15yrs ago!!!!
We did a 10 min standing pose, a 30min seated pose and an hour reclining.

Gonna try and concentrate on hands, feet and faces out of class for now and work on the whole figure at life class. My main aim at this stage is to be able to draw to a consistent level that im happy with by the time i'm 30........(July this year!!!!!)
