awesome work.
screw detail.
most companys don't deal with huge detailed 3d models, i can picture these being perfect for a starcraft2 game.
let the texture artists do the detail yo. i want some more!

I think these are great. The basic shapes are strong enough to do without unnecessary detail, I think.
The 3rd one is awesome. Might just be the way it's shaded, but in practicallity those are very thick wings.

Peter - i was pretty much going for the lowest common denominator if you know what i mean. Just wanted to have fun with simple shapes in perspective.
Davi - thanks for your words of encouragement. been working on my freehand perspective as of lately, drawing cars, airplanes, plumbing and stuff. i'll post some more of my mechanical stuff soon.
Ceenda - heh yea those wings are kinda thick aren't they?

well. I was mostly referring to the last drawing.
it looks kinda lowpoly. so I was thinking that
it wouldnt hurt to put some more detail in it
to make it more exciting. maybe antennas or
something. it doesnt take much time or effort
to lift the drawing up a little more.
I wasnt saying that you should make the amount
of detail as Geoff Darrow (concept artist for the matrix)
hes a madman btw. :)
but since your just playing with shapes and perspective,
this doesnt really apply.
im really just confronting davi since he
didnt know that it was that you where doing.
anyways. i like the first and second ones the most.
mostly because there is more going on with the overall
design. a mixture between angular and round shapes.
they look like they can work. and that, in my opinion is
very important.
btw, on the first one. are the engines at the rear or on
the belly of the ship?

on the first one which is some sort of flying passenger vehicle, possibly an "aerial bus" for lack of a better word. the engines are on the belly behind the wings.
the engines are located in the rear and belly portions on the space freighter. i'll explore these designs some more, and finalize the designs with different views and detailed workings on how these things get around.
