elf VS minotaur DUEL!!

hiya all! this is my second post in this board... i have been practice for some time to be brave nough to post again... hope you guys like it.. this piece is ... i think 30% finish.. since i haven't make the background and put highlight and stuff... have problem with color though... some suggestions and tips maybe?

its pretty cool but the minotaur is just so lifeless. hes just looking out into space! almost looks like hes bending his ax too.

so my only crit is - add more life or at least a pose that lets the viewer know there is some kinda conflict going on.

thank you poly_cube.. i'll draw another scene for this one.. yea.. i agree about the minotaur being too stiff.. thanks for that.. o yea.. i post the finish work for this in the finish section of this forum if you want to see.. still the same.. just add background and more color on it.. maybe you can give me input on coloring? thanks, still have to practice a lot..

along the lines of poly_cube, the minotaur is just standing there, and if the elf was so close in that attack position, the minotaur would at least take a step back. otherswise, beautiful peace, cant wait to see the rest. i like teh coloring. one more thing, is the minotaurs hands, the 3 fingers seems like you just got lazy (no offense), a minotaur is half man half bull, either bull hands (hooves) ha ha~ or man hands!
