My name is Q Manning, I'm a Senior Film & Television Major at the Savannah College of Art and Design, as well as the General Manager for the school's television station, Beecon.tv

I'm beginning work on my senior film, Sons of God, which is a 12-page sci-fi story. The piece offers numerous chances for different types of designs, and I'm working with some artists here at SCAD already. However, I'm really looking for a visionary to make the whole project shine.

Little details that may help/persuade: The film will be shot on 35mm, not video or 16mm, which will have a dramatic effect on the quality. There will be CGI, and just as I'm working with concept artists, I'm also working with visual effects people as well. I'm a hard working individual, and have 9 months to work on this film. 3 months for conception, 3 months for production, 3 months for post production.

Concept work is something that needs to be done first, so the rest of the teams can start their initial work. Costumes have to be designed, sets built, weapons fabricated, etc. Illustrations will be utilized to help solicit additional funding for the film, to pitch the film to potential crew/cast members, and the like. Film & processing are extremely expensive :)

Right now, I'm looking for a talented artist - someone who is inspired by the material, and can really "see" the world that I'm creating. Someone to influence a team of other artist with their zest and enthusiasm.

This is a calling-card piece, something that I want everyone involved to be able to use as a stellar example of their skills. I'm very big on having strong, powerful portfolio pieces to show employers, and that's how this should be viewed.

Look forward to hearing from you :)

Just an addendum: There will also be a need for a storyboard artist as well. Typically, as director, I've done this, but my drawings kills are barely passable, and I'd like someone with strong skills to take on the duty.

Also, the script has been cleaned up slightly. No structural changes, but slight verbage/explanation changes, and some typo corrections.

Hey guys,

Been a few days - I've had no emails, no replies.

Curious as to what about the project is turning people off?

Probably the fact that it is unpaid. That's a big turnoff.

I might be intersted in story boarding, though I don't have a portfolio or a website.

(Look in my sketchbook if you want, all my stuff is there.)

There may be pay, but it wouldn't be a lot. I didn't want to advertise such, if in case funding didn't permit.

If that were the case, I will say I'm open to hearing rates from vairous people :D

Thanks for the feedback :)

I would be interested in the concept art work for the experience. Sci-Fi is a huge interest of mine and the chance to gain experience in this type of format would be wonderful. I would like to inquire as to the details of what you are looking for and would be willing to send you pieces as requested. I can be reached at sccartoonartist@hotmail.com. Thank you for your time.
