This looks pretty decent. First look tells me that you have an eye for details. But they have to be put in the right place. The piece however lacks two major qualities of a good character art. Silhouette and rhythm.

Silhouette means that the outlines has to form an interesting shape, in this case a shape that shows correct anatomy, drapery and graphic quality (train yourselves by taking good concept art and block in the whole character in black). Studying graphic design and works like Marko Djurdjevic's drawing will teach you bout silhouette.

Rhythm is simply curves or lines that echoes the others, one curve has to relate with the others in an interesting way. take master paintings and trace the outlines of the figure or whatever it is. you'll start get an idea of harmony.

Above all, study anatomy, proportion and light. Copy anatomy books, make measurements of the human body and remember them, light simple objects and draw them from life striving to get the most accurate value (greyscale value) as possible.

You are on a good start, be relentless in pursuing perfection.

thanks I do Have a anatomy book, and a really good one at that, now I look at it I do notice somethings, such as the pelvis is out of porportion.

The reason why the shape of the silhouette isn't interesting is because i didn't want to tackle something too tricky for my first time drawing something like this.

thanks for the tips, and I am relentless in pursuing perfection, but it's quite hard >_<

Since you were already getting comments on this one I moved it and deleted the other.

The biggest specific issue I see is the legs. You've got to work on really understanding the anatomy, not just the muscles themselves but why and how they work. I know that he's supposed to have one leg in front of the other, but all I see is a jumble of random lumps and bumps.

1. thanks for moving it ^^'

2. thanks for the tip on the legs, I did actually draw this before studing antomy properly and I do notice that they are little out of place
