(I have never posted here before) Created this last night in about 3 hours, which is why its not very detailed. Its a crawler with a pilot on the right.
I am fairly new to digital painting, so , any constructive critiques will be appreciated.

Definitely has a high tech feel. I get lost on the components of the robot because I'm not sure where the light source is coming from. The treatment of soft edges all over the robot makes it hard to focus in on one area. The pieces seem to melt into each other. I think if you have a bit contrast such as hard edge strokes over the soft ones parts of the robot would pop out more. The arm across the robot's chest could be done in more hard edge/detailed fashion since it's closer to the viewer and stand up agianst the softer edges. Hope this makes sense.

study the way light hits and reflects off metal surfaces...study reflections....study specularity.

These things need a silhouette, right now they're like TV static, makes any shape hard to see. I like the kneecap-balls though.
Search for Borg pics and study those maybe?

I re-worked the crawler and found a brush that I liked. I decide to drop the color from the crawler its self. Crit please?
