It looks like the light is coming directly from where the viewer is, and that is very difficult.
I think you should make more shadows and light to define the shape better - the skin will then take on more different colors and look more naturally. There is a thread on that in the Round Table/Tutorial section - painting flesh tones. I found that really helpful and insightful.
Will be ok though once you're further in the painting, just keep adding light and shadow and it will be cool in the end!

is it better like this?....i put a bit of blue in shadows like it is written on the round table where it is write " if the light is hot the shadow is cool"...
the texture problem came perhaps that this picture is quite litte and should be bigger for this??http://images.deviantart.com/large/indyart/indymisc/trycolor.jpg

The picture is much less flat now! Still difficult light source but the improvement is obvious. Keep it up!

If it's night and outdoors, try to work with a cool palette. Most stuff will be bluish/greyish due to human night vision. You would only see colour where there's light, i.e. a torch, moonlight (though that's not really powerful enough to give colour mostly) or some magical light coming from his hand or staff.
