Teen Challenge #4: Death

First off, congrats to invinciblewombat for winning teen challenge #3 by a solid margin. :hatsoff:

Now, time for round 4. As always, anyone ages 14-19 may submit an entry at any time before the deadline. Any medium is allowed, and your entry may include a short description.

The Topic:
Character Design: Death. Create your own interpretation of death personified as a character, human or otherwise. Open to interpretation, but it must be an original design. If you draw a skeleton in a black robe with a scythe (or something too similar to that) it will not be taken to poll. So use your imagination!

The Deadline:
Wednesday, April 5th at midnight EST. (Exactly two weeks from now)

NOTE: This challenge ended in April 2006, so please stop submitting entries. They will not be taken to poll. :dur:

I know - that's why the point is to make it as non-cliché as possible. The subject can be taken in pretty much any direction you like, so it's only as boring as you make it.

Here is what I have so far. Im going to cut the figure out and glue it on a acrylic background.

Short Story: Some sort of man that never saw the consiquense of death and were then sentenced to be death, the person he never feared.
He has a bomb fastened on his chest that will blow him to smithereens when he has done his time and grant him ethernal peace.

I said id give it a try in this thread (17 years old) so here it is:

This is Death w/ his almighty hammer. He liberates suffering people from their pain, knocks out the unfair or just bangs someones head for fun. Death hits people with his hammer, like they are some kinda fairatractions. When he hits them hard theyre dead, sometimes tho people survive such a blow and go unconsious, and in other cases people just end up with a terrible headache.

Just a reminder (as much to myself as to you guys), tomorrow is the last day to submit an entry for this. The submissions so far are looking pretty good, and I like the diversity of concepts in them. Once I finish the mass of anthropology essays I have due tomorrow I'll be able to actually start on my final. :dur:

And Condottiere - Your entry is fine, don't worry about it getting rejected. Technically it is more or a creature than a character, but the brief is open enough that I won't make a big deal of that. Plus, I like the design.

Tried to draw a death character that wasn't quite so gloomy. I mean, I'm sure death really isn't as bad as the skull dude makes it out to be, and I thought it would be more of a guide rather than otherwise, ya know...? like an alternate charon of sorts...

Well I just got out of class for tonight, so it's time for me to finally start on an entry. Yeah, I'm a slacker, but in my defense I've had to spend the last several days writing essays and crap. Only a few hours to go, but I'll see what I can come up with.
