3.0 bug(s)?

Sorry, I thought there was a 3.0 bugs thread, but I only see the 3.0 thread and a forums bug thread, and I wanted to make sure this was noted seperately.

Anyways, image uploading doesn't seem to work. I uploaded a profile pic last night and a regular gallery pic (which I deleted, as I did it on accident) and it's still not showing up as an image.

Additionally, I was using the browse feature and the vast majority of images show up as the MB icon. Even the ones that show up with a valid thumb, when clicked on, don't actually display and instead display the MB icon.

Just bringing it up in case no one has already done so. (I want to say I've seen it mentioned somewhere else, but I can't find where.)

Anyways, new stuff's looking pretty cool. I guess while(if) I have the developers attention I'd like to request that we keep the top nav when viewing profiles. It seems when I view my own profile, anyways, I lose the top navigation which would allow me to get back to the forums. As it stands I have to go to "home" on the side nav in order to get a forum link back.

Yeah, I've been having the same problem. I imagine its probably just a server hiccup. Or perhaps newly uploaded things have to wait until a server is reset or something.

i spent a fair amount of time uploading to my gallery last night, finally got each and every image to display properly when browsing it (though the MB chicken showed up randomly in the thumbs), only to find the fowl creatures had completely invaded and occupied the gallery this morning. trashed it thoroughly. pesky critters.

an hour later: OK, now i know i'm down the rabbit hole. the roosters have (mostly) left the building, gallery's back up. all by itself. which is good, i guess. puzzling, but good.

Yeah my stuff still isn't showing up...I guess that rules out the server reset thing.

It seems pretty random, actually. Sometimes my image shows up, sometimes it doesn't. Same for other peoples images I try to view.

I have a bug in the forums user CPs .... I wanted to change my avatar, but there s a typo saying that the avatar size is 10 x 10 pixels, so now my 100X 100 pixel avatar is 10x10 ... someone fix that?

as of last night (04/06/06) logging onto 3.0 generates this error message on its own page:

Can't open file: 'online.MYI'. (errno: 145)

when i go back to the home page, i can edit everything as if i'm logged in, but my status stays "OFFLINE"

This is not a bug, but I really liked the "threads started by" option on the old profiles. I've posted it in the past, but I want to bring it to the memory with the hope it will resurrect.

Same..if I click the My Account link up at the top I get that error. Looks like a mysql error...fun. :/

take a look at the "any forum problems" thread, 'fino, i posted a workaround there. you can get in to 3.0, but everyone is labeled as "OFFLINE" even though they are not.

nope, alive & kickin', just has a few... digital zits, you might say, purely cosmetic blemishes. there's a coupla ways you should be able to get to your account, just remember to ignore the "OFFLINE" label, 'cause it's broke. funny thing is, if you look at the home pages, seems everyone's also listed as "Online Now" (bottom of the column under your activity stars).

far as i can tell, once you're in everything works for blogs, messaging, group forums and the like, though the gallery/avatar chickens are still being pesky as ever.

Yeah me too. This forum is a bit wonky lately. Dunno if they need a hand or not. If they need an experienced Unix admin I could offer to help them out. I can't tell what they are running this server on.

at the risk of being accused of cross-posting:

earlier on i posted a workaround. it seems that this error page pops up due to a missing script that interrupts the login process, but not fatally. afaik, when you see this page you ARE logged in to CA3. you can then go to your user homepage (if bookmarked), or to either:

http://community.conceptart.org/member/

or http://community.conceptart.org/

to get into your CA3 user account, or the CA3 main page.

if you try to get to 3.0 from the forums, it sends you through the login process, which generates that error page. the links above should get you past the blockage.

looks like they squashed the "everyone OFFLINE" bug, too. getting to 3.0 from the forums also fixed. guess they found that lost script, makes a world of diff.

Since April 17th I've been getting the following for a lot of the posts:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /forums/forumdisplay.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I get that error too. But people are still able to comment in my profile because I'm receiving emails saying so. I just can't even log in to see any of it all.

Sorry if this isn't the right place for it, but it's the only bug report type thread I found looking through the forums.

Whenever I try to view my profile or user control panel I get:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Lost connection to MySQL server during query in /home/concept/public_html/dzl_fct.php on line 85
Error while connecting to database 192.168.0.1 !

I tried the workarounds that Masque suggested but neither seem to work for me - my login isn't recognised on them.

Also, when I registered here, should I have got an email to confirm/complete registration, as one never showed up - I got the mySQL error partway through registering, so I wonder if my account is screwed up somehow?
