Seems like for the past few years they've been bringing out all of this old stuff to get us youngin'z nostalgic. Have you bought into it? I'm afraid I have a wee bit. I've got a Gobo the Fraggle sitting on top of my monitor as we speak. lol Kind of cool and kind of creepy at the same time. Trying to cash in on the "Prize in the Cereal Box/Saturday Morning Cartoon" Generation. Mmm... I miss my youth... lol

I always wanted a Teddy Ruxpin until I found out it was just a glorified tape player.

Now I'd kinda like to get one and put some Slayer in it...just because. ;)

I worked at PlayCo, which is now bankrupt and no more which makes me feel good, when all those talking toys were babbling incessantly.

I still have nightmares about the 80's.

The 80's made the 00's look like the 50's, and the 80's seemed like the 60's.

I feel so young...
And numerically naive.

Aw man, it's the same old Teddy Ruxpin. They should've updated him so he was HIP and EXTREME for the new generation! Kids today don't want happy bears in balloons, they want gangstas shooting each other with gats and then singing rap songs about it!

With that in mind, I present to you, straight from the hard streets of Grundo...

I was one of those unfortunate kids who never got a Teddy Ruxpin and had to play with my friends instead. I have some good memories playing with that kid's Teddy Ruxpin...

come fly away with me. sail away?

errr, Teddy Ruxpin as well as Rupert the bear made me feel like I was having a bad trip, before I even knew what drugs were.
something about them was unsettling. Rupert vs Ruxpin, that would be a cool Thunder Dome.

I was looking foward to ThunderCats and He-man, they don't seem bad but they've gone a bit overboard I think. I think we also forget that we arn't 5 or 6 anymore, so we might not enjoy them as much as we did back then. I still got my old ThunderCats tapes and they are shocking to watch, after working on Disney animation, watching ThunderCats is like torture, they hardly move, sometimes the wrong character speaks, bad frames. But I still think the Thunder Cats intro is the best of any Cartoon I've ever seen.

Why don't they bring back "the Mysterious Cities of Gold" that show rocked

I just laughed my ass off after reading your comment about playing Slayer in Teddy. I'am going to buy one for my nieces and nephews and use a Slayer tape in it. :)

I had one of these bears i was born in 89 so it probably belong to one of my older siblings. It scared the crap out of me for some reason and I didnt get good vibes from this bear, but I liked the artwork in the book and scribbled on it incessantly.

Hey friends, when your day seems gloomy, the world just not seeming to hold the sparkle of the day before and those little gems of concept art are struggling to get from your brain to your hand to the page..or perhaps you just want someone to share your vodka with....well here's an inspirtational tool to beat all tools. Marko Ruxpin...yes guys and girls, Marko Ruxpin.
I know my day is never complete without hearing:
"Dude, fuck yourself in the knee you stupid piece of shit."
"Happy Birthday(insert name), May your nuts swell up to the size of your brain"
"Comments like these irritate the shit out of me. I don't know where some people have their brains."
or these classic bits
"When I was six years old, I crawled into the bed of my babysitter, while she was asleep, and pulled her slip down. I wanted to find out what a pussy looks like."
"Stop jacking off five times a day."
Ahh..yes...and to think that when you crack out the vodka.
"Pure Gold man. Pure motherfucking Gold."
"MUTHERFUCKER! Thanks for hanging out with me and emptying Stolichnaya bottles yesterday night. You rock dude, at least Cro Magnon style."

Get yours today!

Done in complete jest...and much respect, no maliciousness.
Cheers!
