I am sure the majority of you, like the rest of the world, needs to carry something around with them during the day. Whether you are a student, professional, or just an everyday mom you have some sort of bag or case to carry your personal belongings around in.

So! For those of you that use this type of product, what would you like to see changed or improved in yours?

Examples: -My back hurts!
-The straps dont fit very well
-More/less storage required
-This thing is ugly!

Thank you!
-Matthew

My sister got me a fancy laptop carrying bag, even though I doubt have a laptop. And I love it. perfect for art. It can carry 2 of those large blackbooks, and a smaller one. I also always carry "anatomy for the artist" with me and a couple of fashion / hairstyle magazines. And a ton of pencils and inks, and even a CD player and a PSP. Comfortable as hell, too. The brand I have is samsonite.

I have an over the shoulder messener bag which my boyfriend's mom got me, I love it to bits, has a huge flap only over the main compartment and can fit in anything I throw at it. I've been carrying it around for almost 2 years now and I feel like I'm naked without it:) It's only comfy when the strap is longish, like the bag is just under my belt(line), longer or shorter means I'll have my back twisted into something it's not in no time. Messenger bags are also cool if you wanna customise them - it came with a few patches but I have pins and safety-pins on it too :)

Funny you should mention.

I've been looking for many moons for a messenger bag that was big enough to carry my 20" sketchbook. Eventually I just thought I'd make my own, since I knew what size I wanted and I knew I wanted it made out of canvas so I could screen-print on it. I bought some old canvas bags (that were too small) but I was going to tear them up and use their material but it was too thick and I broke the sewing machine.

ANYWAY - I sent it to this lady in my hometown who is a seamstress on the side and she made it for me for 25 bucks. It has four, kind of silly hanging pockets inside, and two completely useless really long pockets down the side but its huge and I like it. :P

If I fill it too full it gets real heavy and my neck/shoulder hurts from carrying it. Also its so big Im not quite used to maneuvering it on the bus, for example. But generally I like it.

I got your average sized purse I guess. I manage to get my A4 pad down there, some pencils my mathbook and then it's full. The thing with it is it's not really the right size it needs so be slightly longer and slightly deeper to fit my A4 pad properly cause if it rains it sticks out atm and ofcourse it gets wet. and well it's not uncomfterble it's jsut always in the way hitting someone or getting tangeld up in something.. especially on the bus...

man, these purses sure are the fad these days.... :nohope:
I used one for 2 years but switched back to a regular backpack because its more comfortable on your shoulders (carrying the weight on 2 shoulders as opposed to 1)

well backpacks are more of a hassle in my opinion, as soon as you want something in it or want to sit down you have to take it of and it's so big stuff gets lost in it... okey mine are anyway :P

right now i use a jean tote bag. i love totes, cause you can just toss stuff in it, and go...generally there big enough to hold a sketch book, pens and pencils, wallet, keys...you know the essentials. i have several different kinds of messengers, but i can never get it comfortable for. its always cutting the circulation off in my neck, and hurts my shoulders. either that or i just need to carry less stuff. usually if i have to carry alot of art supplies at once, i try putting the most in a plastic tubaware type container that has a handle and carry the pads and books in my hand. If any one has any better suggestions i'm open for em. :)
