Nice start in watercolor. I assume the first is a sunset?

Anyways, your small copies need a bit of color adjustment, as well as values. But to be fair, I know watercolor is a very hard medium to control. Did you have any underlying sketch?

I note in the poppy field, the red on yours seems to have bled farther than you wanted. Try not adding water, using pure watercolor for that.

I think you were trying to match the colors too generally. Note in the poppyfield, there is ALOT of yellower green. There is also yellow in the sky.
In the bottom pic, It looks like you used pure black for the silhouette. In the picture though, It is blue, and there are reds and yellows in it.

I know they are different mediums but there are ways to work around that difference.

In the cliffs picture, the brown you used seems to have to little yellow in it. Note in the original, the cliffs are yellow and red, and their shadows are a shade of blue.

For doing copies; Try not to assume things such as "Oh, the shadow is just a darker shade of x color." Try to say "He made the shadow blue as opposed to a darker shade of the cliff?" Ask questions! In reality, shadows are lower values not necessarily of the same color, and when they are outside on a nice day, the sky reflects ON to them, so they appear blue.

Good luck, get some life drawings (Or better yet) life paintings done!
