Ok to anyone, don't know if this is me. but here is my quesiton.

in painter 7, is there a way to get the stylus to read your pressure correctly on the wacom? ok here is my problem

in painter 7, testing out pencils, and set color to black. i go to brush tracking and get a good feedback from my wacom. i have my opacity set to 50%. but when i try to draw lightly on my wacom, most of the time it gives me straight black, no variant in its opacity or lightness?

could it be that i have a heavy hand when I draw? hehe :)
oh and even if u have the stylus doing the work for you, on pressur of opacity, y bother adjusting the opacity manually?

thx for your help guys.:D

Have you already tried different paper textures and adjusting the grain setting? I just did a 2B pencil test with "basic" paper texture and grain at about 44 and got good variation in tone by varying my pressure. Did you already check your brush-control settings to make sure "pressure" is on for opacity and grain?

yea i'm using a 2b pencil with "basic" paper texture and grain about 44. however my variation in tone doesn't make a diffrence until i put opacity on like 5%? and i went to brush tracking to fix it and still it feels off.

maybe it's my in-experience with a wacom.

thx for your tip. i'll keep trying
