I need secondary sources written on Dan Simmons' Hyperion series. I figured it was a long shot, but I might as well ask you guys anyway. I am really looking for academic stuff, essays written by credible sources. Any literature buffs out there who know of any good pieces of writing?

Try google (or some other comparable service).
You should either look for the infomration directly or for sites (forums,...) where you can ask for information.

That should give you a much bigger success rate.

I have already tried that, and continue to do so. I also posted on Dan Simmons's forum. I was just thinking, on the off chance that someone might already know of something. Googling it really isnt yielding much of anything but book reviews.

Oh my brain. It got all excited and saw the word hyperion and automatically went to Angel, which means that it started freaking out, and bouncing up and down, and i think it may have peed on my sphenoid.

Dear gods of sleep, let these caffine pills kick in.

Edit: I can't be of help, sadly. I own the books, but i haven't ever mustered up the gull to read them.

If you have never read them you don't understand what you are missing. These are some of the best science fiction novels ever written. It is enough to make your head explode.

Inkfish, thanks for the link. Anything I can get my hands on right now will help.

I'll make sure to get around to it.
I'm a Lavondyss girl, and american gods, and such things, and i wish i could do more. I just don't have time to get really in to any more books that i feel really will need me to dedicate myself to reading it, instead of just doing a quick read.
