The forhead seams a bit short, but knowing your work it's probably the other way around and it is the model who is weird! (hope I didn't offend anyone)

again, what school do you attend? it would be fun if you could show us some of your work prior to starting your studies.

you make me wanna go get my oils out, nice job on this one. I like the progression from rough to detail. His jawline seems a little loose considering the way you handled the surrounding area, but I really like it anyway.

I love the play between the red and blue daarken looks awesome. The eye socket/area seems a little off though...the red underneath the chin and on the nose and ears is a really bold move in this portrait but I think it works very well. You are establishing a style. A style that I like very much!

R_M: i go to the academy of art college in san francisco. this is my 2nd year there, but im considered 3rd year from transfers. i went to school for a year before the academy doing computer programming at the university of texas at austin. okkkkk, you asked for it. here are some drawings i did right before going to the art academy, bwahahaha. i will regret posting these i know....

Whoa the testosterone is everywhere in your old stuff! well my Wolverines aren't much better....:D

Looks like it's a really good school, cause your portaits are f#%$ing hot, considering the time it takes you to do them. Do you use any theory books, if yes which ones?
I ask because, even if it would be so cool to go to another Art school, that isn't really an option and I am very much on the selfthough wagon, and I want to learn what you are learning man!

Bahahaha that's hilarious. The lined paper is key.

That you went from that to recognizable portraiture in two years is awesome. Go Academy. :)

A big hell yes on the improvement. Thanks for posting those because it is great to see.

There are a lot of people who are glad you decided to ditch the lame computer programming.

And seriously, the improvement is insane. You must be fairly happy yourself. right?
