hi, nice drawing...

imho (very humble :) ) the 2nd one is a bit better...
the cooler colors suit the mood and background of the picture better i think

But then again, what do i know :(

very cool drawing.

PS. The handle on the sword is a bit too long, which makes the sword look goofy :P and the blade of the sword is too short to look believable as a samurai-long-sword-thingy...
Now i look at it...the swordblade and handle look the same size. And maybe you can render the blade thingy a bit more...
it lookd a bit unfinishe.

Keep it up:chug: i'd love to see more

I like the 'green' version better--it's just more atmospheric and works better to me.

You might want to look at the hand holding the sword--it looks a bit off. The thumb placement looks a bit weird to me. It just doesn't look like he's holding a thick handle, but rather the handle is just passing through his closed fist.

First off, I'm very impressed by this image. Colors are great in both of them in my opinion. Both would work perfectly for any number of purposes.

About the sword handle, if I were to pin it on any one thing, it's that the hand does not follow the same perspective as the handle. The forefinger would be almost completely out of the shot and the pinky would be way more in front of everything else. The thumb placement, as was previously mentioned is a bit off in that he's able to wrap it way too far around. The handle looks very thick, so the thumb would almost have to rest along it's length, rather than be able to reach around to the second knuckles of the fingers. My thumb can barely reach that far with an empty, closed fist. You could fix it really easily by just showing the tip of the thumb peaking down from the hand. Hell, you could probably just 86 the thumb altogether and it would work.

That's all I can think of. Sweet ass pic regardless.

Is that the moon in the second image close to the top right corner?

i definatley like the first one better. It has much more natural hues. What does kinda bug me on the first one though, is the transitions from green to violet. Those two colors are fine, but the transition needs to be more gradual. Also you have warmer hues in the shadows (reds) then in some of the more lighted areas (violet). I would have voilets in the darkest areas and blues to transition between the green.
Maybe that why you came to the second pic i guess. Its just that one look unatuaral to me.

hope i help some
