I'd love to crit the position of the furthest eye & cheekbone, but that's probably a stylistic thing. Awesome awesome work, I especially love the greens and blues in the background. Dreamy!

Her hand is the only thing that bothers me. I'm not sure why though. Great work, I like stuff like this.

I like it a lot. It looks very fresh, all the elements fall perfectly in place. I'm sensing a hint of Klimt in there too.

that's a beautiful piece my dear as I've already told you. btw I do like the title you've chosen very much, it sounds like a Dead Can Dance song title you know. I think it adds to the overall mood .

Slither Astray>>Tanks, I take this like a compliment. :tihi: I like to be just a little cheeky sometimes.:P
Form>> I'm a little embarrassed by your kind question, because I can't say anything more for the moment about that. As soon as I could, I promise. :bashful:

Really nice artworks u done. Checked em all :D I can´t stop thinking though, this style really reminds me of a swedish illustrator in fashion, her name is Liselotte Watkins. Check it out. Im not saying u are copying. Maybe u never even seen these pict. But i think the style if somehow simmillar. (?)
Like it!

beautiful. The border is nice, but at the same time I wonder if it'd be better with something different... something not so busy so the focus is more centered...

The border of squiggly lined patterns reminds me of how I draw when I'm bored. (The only thing I'm humanly able to draw at the moment)
I like how the volume of colors stayed on the same level as one another, allowing the viewer to take every detail in at once - which is what happened.
A few possible errors? (Hard to find, this was powerful)
In a way, it appears as though her eyes are excessively seperated. Excellent designs on the mermaid tail. Also - on the way up the blue whale-tail vein, if you look above her mermaid tail there are 3 awkwardly placed blots of color you should paint over. However unaffecting, these directed my attention away from the image as a central figure. A goddess of Sirena who isn't afraid to blush?
Remember - it's the insides that count.
Hope any comments helped.
Keep doing you

I love everything about this picture except the tail. Just then end fin of the tail. They lines in that area are kind of heavy and overly dark, and not nearly as graceful as the rest of the image.

I especially love what you've done with her tail. Nice to see a friendly looking creature in amongst all the monsters on these forums for a change, too ;)
EDIT: I also agree with what nonie is saying about the fins, to me the lines seem quite thick when you compare them to the thin delicate ones on the border of your piece. I would have thought her tail fin may be also slightly transparent.

I think her forearm is shorter than her upper arm, but hey, it doesn't bother me, it's a beautyful painting:)
